A Gingerbread Christmas

Simple frosting for classic gingerbread cookies.

I didn't have a snowflake cookie cutter, so I improvised with a mini flower cutter.

Confetti Cookies

These were fun to make, and super easy!  I used a apple corer to make the little cookies (I didn't have the small fondant cutters, so I improvised!).  I iced them and then sprinkled them.  Packaged them up in a little Mason jar and they were a little bit of happiness all wrapped up.  Cookies that you could literally pop in your mouth.

The best part of making these itty bitty cookies is that you're allowed to eat more than one, and you won't feel bad. :)

Purple Polk Dot Cookies

These were for a new baby girl.  The round cookies were inspired by my two-year-old daughter's shirt.  It is purple with polka dots and has little ruffles where it buttons down the middle.  For some reason, it's just the cutest thing, and simple enough to translate into a cookie design.

Cookies to welcome a new baby boy!

Next time I might try using a food color marker for the eyes and mouth.

First House

Made these for a housewarming gift.  First time making a chocolate version of the sugar cookies…loved them (of course I had to taste-test them before I gave 'em away!).

Polka dots are wet on wet technique using flood icing.  I used red piping icing for the border and the "congrats."
